Pastels, Picnics, and Pints

Instead of hiding eggs for Cora to find, this morning I hid Cora for Bren to find. She wasn't too happy about that, but kudos to her for thinking to check the garage.

Day 87 - No Woman, No Fly

I remember when she used to sit, with her ginormous head hanging down. And now, now serving her is her neck, while she mightily peers down our neighborhood street.

Day 86 - Upward Bug

Thankfully Cora hasn't reached the stage where yoga has to be performed in LooLooLime costumes. She's just fine lengthening her spine in her PJs.

Day 85 - Happy Wee Friends

Obviously they just saw the results of the Carolina game. On a happy note, Cora's sprout is getting long enough to decorate.

Day 84 - Page Turner

Cora decided to go at her own pace, which happened to involve some close oral inspection of the paper.

Day 82 - Goose, goose, poop.

Cora wanted to see the geese, so we walked over to the geese. Man, they are disgusting creatures. Do ducks poop that much? I think I'll buy a new down jacket tonight.

Day 81 - Momsupial

I wonder if humans are more akin to marsupials than mammals. Both feed their young on milk, but when was the last time you saw an elephant carrying around its calf?

Day 80 - Baby Blue Crab

Mittens are meant for munchkins, although they do make thumb sucking a bit weird.

Day 79 - Shots, Bugs, and Rock n Roll

Bren's been opening Cora's musical horizons with stunning renditions of classics like "Tuning, in D minor". It would have been another day of fun and rolling for the bug if not for her second round of shots. So sad to see a little baby cry.

Day 78 - Thumb-belly-na

This is how we find the sprite in the morning now. And when I say "we", I mean Bren.

Day 77 - Four More Months!

Her first four months in life were amazingly productive, which contributed to the landslide decision to go for a second. The pressure's on to continue in the current vein of achievement.

Day 76 - Bizarro Turtle

Instead of being stranded on her back, limbs flailing adorably, Cora has been getting stranded on her belly. Her limbs still flail about a bit, but her frustrated cries are less than adorable, particularly at midnight.

Day 75 - Home Field Advantage

When Max accepted the invite for the play date, I don't think he knew there would be so much pink.

Day 74 - Our Lucky Charm

If Bren shotgunned 10 ounces of Green No. 3, I wonder if Cora would be sippin' on some sweet St Patty's Day milk.

Day 73 - Cold Chillin'

After a streak of luxurious warmth, today was a bit of a shock for wee Cora. Not that you'd know it though. She's quite the trooper.

Day 72 - Rolling Kin

Next stop: crawling into the rats nest that is my cable management.

Day 71 - Hooky Hike

The author decided to ditch work on this warm beautiful day. What better way to spend it than going for a hike with the tyke? Cora demoed her primate instincts while being packed around. Even while sleeping she had a firm grip on the straps of the carrier.

Day 70 - Swing Low Sweet Cherub

Although my proposed motion of trying the ol' catapult maneuver on the see-saw may have been premature, Bren's immediate veto and subsequent removal or Cora from my reach felt unfair. I'll admit that Cora seemed to enjoy the swingset.
