Day 5 - B.O.B.blehead

A popular Bend tourist activity is the Bend Ale Trail, where the goal is to collect stamps from nine of Bend's breweries. Once you've proven your worth by giving approximately $40 to the local economy, and proven your tolerance for pain by suffering through an entire pint of Blonde Bombshell, you're awarded a commemorative pint made of 100% post-consumer, recycled breast implants.

Unbeknownst to most, there exists another gauntlet among Bend locals, known as the West Side Checklist. This lifestyle challenge requires considerably more time and money, but the end result announces to the community that you've officially arrived. The following items must be displayed in public at some point, with bonus social cache awarded to multiple items displayed simultaneously:

1. Late model Subaru wagon
2. Dog(s)
3. Offspring
4. Apple laptop (combo of iPhone and iPad also qualifies)
5. Merino wool garments
6. Ski equipment (bonus if displayed separately from aforementioned Subaru)
7. Mountain bike with retail price in excess of $2000 (10x bonus if displayed simultaneously with #1 and #6)
8. B.O.B. stroller
9. T-shirt and/or bumper sticker maligning excessive global consumption

  1. Congratulations! You are checking off the required Bend-gonian acquisitions rather nicely. I think you should have extra points for Cora's obvious brilliance as well. How do you manage the ski equiptment on the BOB? Oh, the skis are on your feet! Great for downhill walks.
